Administrative Centre Burgdorf near Bern CH

The city of Burgdorf, near Bern, has been building a new Administrative Centre containing administrative offices, courts, the body of public prosecutors, police and a prison, since 2010.
PLAN2 has been working on this PPP-Project together with the ARGE | MartiBau AG CH since the year of 2007, and won the competition in 2009.
The completion of the 45.000 qm administration centre is scheduled for spring 2012 and moving in of the authorities took place in April 2012. Next to the estates for the courts and prosecution service a prison is located at the back of the structure. It is typical for Switzerland and Austria that justice is administered and executed in one facility.
